Communications staff reunions, the first took place in the year 2000 in Weymouth.
Dave (Tiny) Brighton decided in the late 1990s to try to find as many of the H.M.S. Eagle 4th and 5th Commissions 'Communications' lads as he could. Our old mate worked hard and by 1999 he had found sufficient of us to suggest a reunion. This was the first, and it was to be held in Weymouth in the year 2000. A great success and we all had a good time, getting drunk, swapping tall tales (half remembered) and enjoying a SODs Opera. Oh! and not forgetting enjoying the company of our wives and catching up with each others history of after Eagle. That first reunion being 36 years after we had served together on Eagle. We have had several more at different locations the latest one being held in Dorchester/Weymouth in August 2025 (some 61 years after we served on Eagle). This 2025 one was of particular significance as firstly we had Pete & Caren Fox from New Zealand and Frank & Averil Chadwick from Queensland, Australia with us and, secondly because we committed the ashes of our old mates Florrie Ford, from Australia and Nobby Clarke from the UK to the deep off Chesil Beach. Tiny Brighton is the Godfather of the Eagle Reunions
